Surge HR

I currently have a Fitbit ONE, but am interested in getting the Charge HR - only for the use of the heart rate monitor while I’m exercising.

I want to keep the ONE for my steps because I prefer the ONE and its clip over against the wristband for the daily use.

My question is WILL THESE TWO PRODUCTS TALK TO EACH OTHER OR DOES IT NEED TO BE ONE OR THE OTHER?

@luvwalking  At the moment it is one or the other, but a moderator has said that in the future they will allow people to have two devices for one account.

If you want to do it now, you can use the One and when you want the Charge HR, you'd set it up as a replacement. Then you'd have to switch again if you wanted to use the One.

I don't know when Fitbit plans to let us swap back and forth to put it on one account.

You can now use multiple devices.  I have a One and a Flex and after updating my Android Fitbit app recently, it will read from both devices. Sweet!   I too am looking at the charge HR for the same reason, but the One will probably still be the best one I have owned among the Ultra, One and Flex models.  It seems to be the most accurate, have the longest battery life, and least problematic.  (The Ultra was good, the case eventually stress-cracked. My feeling is that the design of the One prevents that issue)
