For many years I've been using Fitbits to track my daily walk. After several close calls with cars while crossing streets in crosswalks, and a broken arm from a fall on uneven sidewalk, I decided to join a gym and exercise indoors.
I'm a 73 yo very fragile man with a history of multiple fractures due to severe osteoporosis caused by celiac disease. I'm going down, but I'm going down fighting.
The last time I got on a bicycle I spent two weeks in the hospital with a broken hip. I swore I'd make a full recovery and I did. Now real bicycles are off the menu because I absolutely must not fall down.
I'm finding recumbent exercise bikes safe and helpful but I don't know how to use my Charge 5 to capture heart rate data while sitting still on an exercise bike. Perhaps it is not a suitable use for a Fitbit?
Looking for suggestions.

For exercise bikes (any kind), there is a mode called "Spin". It will record your HR and calories (and pretty much that).
