Track run time

Hi there,

I'd like to track my run time for a 1.5-mile run. So, the Fitbit app should stop the clock at 1.5 miles and not continue.

Is there a way to make the app stop itself at a given time?

I don’t think you can do this with the Fitbit app, but if you are going to carry your phone during the run, why don’t use a dedicated running app such as Runtastic?

Also: are you going to run on a track, or otherwise elsewhere between A and B, where the distance between A and B is known to be 1.5 miles? I’m asking because if you’re using your phone’s GPS (or your Surge, if it’s the Fitbit device you have), there’s always going to be some margin of error for distance. If you really want to track your performance in terms of time, it’s probably best to run from A to B and clock your run. You can do this with many Fitbit trackers (start activity, stop activity).
