Hi People,
Just wondering if anyone knows a good push bike app/device that can communicate with my Fitbit. I want to be able to track my bike ride to work and use the information like calories etc from the ride to combine with my daily steps? Does such a thing exsist?
cheers
Oblio

I don't know if a wearable device exists but there are numerous trip computers and similar devices that attach to the bike on the market. Most of these will track calories, work (rpm), anything mechanical. Some high end models have armbands or chestbands that will actually keep track of your heartrate and blood presure and are often wireless. Best bet is check with a local bike speciality store.
I also use my Fitbit when I ride my exercise bike and it does a fair job of converting pedalling into steps. Its still much faster to rack up steps by actually walking. I get about 2600 steps for an hour of pedalling at around 75 RPM vs 6000+ for an hour of fast walking.
Another idea is using a good heart rate monitor as they track how many calories and how much work you did via your pulse.
Of course there are probably I-Pad and I-Phone apps that will do everything and more as well.

I haven't used it in ages but it seems like I used to use smart phone app Endomondo to track bike rides and it automatically synched to my Fitbit data. I think. I know my Fitbit data synched to Endomondo, anyway!
