Greetings,
Is there a single "smart" treadmill out there that can exchange data with Fitbit? I currently own a Proform, which has a WiFi module for exchanging workout and route data with iFit (you can draw a map on Google maps and it programs distance and elevation on your treadmill, then it collects the workout data on near real time), but it is a paid service and very cumbersome to use. Has anyone figured out how to get those devices to talk to Fitbit through the API?
The reason I ask is because the Fitbit in treadmill mode doesn't detect the treadmill's tilt. I would love to be able to have it broadcast my workout to Fitbit, including the elevation gained. And I have looked around for a while and all of the "smart" treadmills that I see all use iFit, none of them has any kind of interaction with Fitbit.
TIA!
... and as of today, I am seeing automatic floors climbed detection for the treadmill. I only walked outside about 7 miles today, which on my normal route means under 70 floors, yet here I am at 127 floors after 5 additional miles or so on the treadmill.

Is it windy out? It is in PA and I had a crazy number of flights register because of it. It may not be the treadmill...

Best AnswerMy GPS tracked walk was consistent as far as the floors count. Then I went inside and kept walking on the treadmill as a separate tracked workout and noticed that my floor count kept increasing. It was not very accurate, but it did try to measure elevation.
