Using Fitbit in Get the World Moving - GCC Competition

Hi,

Is anyone entering the GCC competition and using their Fitbit instead of the supplied device (GCC Pulse) ?

I entered this with work and am wondering if anyone has done this before.

Its a worldwide competition for 100 days that calculates activity (walking, running, cycling etc.) and converts them to steps. Then as part of a team of 7 you make your way around the world through different destinations.

It can also help track food and sleep.

Note - I do not work for them, just interested if anyone else is doing it.

Hey,

I am in it as well. Actually just paired my fitbit with the site and I am curious how it will work. I love the option because the pedometers received are a bit shaby and it is silly to have to write the steps manually. Also by pairing the device I can prove every single step and there is no room for cheating.. even if I dont get that people cheat in something like that..

Our teams aims for 15 ths average and that is IT people with cars so pretty good 🙂

Anyone else doing GCC?

I'm also taking part in GCC with my employer - there are 112 of us taking part this year, and our team is doing fantastic we're 4th in our organisation leaderboard and are nearly onto location #10

2nd year running for me. Currently around 100k steps down on this year but I'm more active now but not doing as much actual walking.

Great fun though.
