I should also add that I will walk every aisle even though I don't need any thing in that aisle. Park the cart at the top and walk down one Aisle and then back up the next. Pick up cart and carry on Smiley Very Happy

@WendyB You are a gem.. I nrmally get 1,100 steps doing the aisles plus more in the carpark and I even volunteer to take trolley's back. They don't know my reason Smiley Happy

But as a dumb male Smiley Tongue, I never thought of leaving the trolley and walking up and down.. Gets me double the steps if I peruse one side and backup the other side. I need this method for the Surge and the Charge HR. At least I got 393 steps last night in the Supermarket walking for 32 minutes, not my normal effort, but this time with one arm holding the trolley, but they can be weapons if I do this...

Like a good Fitbitter, I started the Surge timer because of the one handed trolley and you wouldn't believe the accuracy of my clipons. The Ultra, Zip and One were 756, 757, and 753 respectively. So I improved the detection with the Surge by using one hand but still only about 55%.. normally about 10% steps with both hands on the trolley and steps gained from picking the items.

So your up and down aisle is a plus.. @WendyB Thanks for the insight......

That is so awesome.  I have to do that tomorrow when I go to the store.  Do you take the cart back even if there is a cart corral near you?

Yes. I even take the trolley back to the store or if someone wants to take a cart back to the corral I use it for my shopping.. An ulterior motive there. I use the cart as a support for my lower back stenosis and I'm only a few months after hip surgery.

It's a win win situation.

Also I get a good feeling showing up the shoppers who just dump their trolleys where they park.

That's too funny @WendyB it reminds me of the time someone waited for me to change a flat tire, just so they would have a closer spot to park.

Why did i park do close? The mall still closed, was running late, slid around the corner, hit a curb, left the tire to change later.

@WendyBiI find they are the same people who dump their trolleys. Always in hurry, and mow you over in the aisles. As they get older,  get Fitbits, they will realise their folly.

But they are probably the same one's where a Fitbit would finish up in a draw. This helps us because revenue for Fitbit help us positive one's.

Have great weekend, it will be about 90+F here over the next few days.

@Rich_LaueWWithin a couple of miles of me we have the largest shopping mall complex in the Southern Hemisphere, Chadstone. They are now building a high rise hotel and apartments so that shoppers will stay longer.

Parking was such an issue that the local radio station did s real-time survey to see job long it would take to find s parking spot while waiting.  The result 4.5 minutes.

Now they have green/r ed lights at the end of every row and parking Bay. green indicating there is spot vacant.  Defined improved the trawlers and impatient one's.

Richard, definitely relaxing. It is so integrated when you enter a parking area it displays how many green spots are available. Then at each row, how many in that row and then you find a vacant green light. Definitely "cool",

Seems to have taken parking rage away because the green light only appears when the car fully vacates..

Using the technology from the Solar Freakin' Roadway, with built in weight sensers, RGB Leds, this would be easy to implement, all the info could be displayed on the roadway at the end of the isle, and where cars are not parked it would generate electricity. The built in heaters will also melt the snow and ice. Yea not much snow or ice but have plenty of sun down under.
