What makes you good at running?

I would like to become a better runner this year but i don't know where to start.

@gerkins554: I am trying to achieve the same this year. I attend some of the running room clinics. And I came to know that strengthening your core is important in improving running efficiency. I do this everyday for at least 10 mins. It helps. In my last 10 k race, I shaved off almost 5 mins. To get better pace, you should run often. Here are couple of articles.

Plank is the best core exercise.
