What's your favorite Fitbit feature?

Many features have been implemented to Fitbit devices over the years, I remember the first devices launched by Fitbit like the Ultra, One, Zip and Flex. They all showed the basic daily activity and it's amazing to see how the industry has evolved in just a few years.

Personally, my favorite features are the ones related to heart rate tracking and sleep tracking. What about you? What is your favorite feature or what is the feature that has been the most beneficial for you? Feel free to share your thoughts.

@DavideFitbit-- I'm an old-timer, and floors has always been my favorite metric. It's kind of basic, I know, but it motivates me to take harder routes.

HR and calories burned since they are so tied together. I rely on that more than anything else on my tracker.

There's one feature I can think of which I missed on any other platform I used. It's very unique MyFitnessPal integration. I know that users very often don't understand the way the numbers update in MFP incrementally throughout a day but for me, that was actually a very good integration. I missed that when I switched to Suunto and Garmin (Suunto has no integration with MFP at all and Garmin's doesn't work that way). Also, the connected GPS feature it's a nice thing. Garmin Fenix line suffers from GPS issues (Sony chipset isn't that great) and it would be amazing to be able to use external GPS. Fitbit with a connected GPS feature provides pretty much it - external GPS from the mobile phone (would be nice to have it also for Sense and pretty much for all the Fitbit devices). So these two features I find unique and useful on Fitbit devices.

Being an old fashioned elementary school teacher, I look forward to earning the badges. I’ll be getting the next distance badge at 12,430 miles in about 6 months.  I hope by then FitBit will have created another distance badge as that appears to be the last one.

I just signed up for the Premium features so I might have to amend this answer but at the moment I 'd have to say the pulse measure interests me most

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, @Baltoscott @emili @t.parker @Stephanie1051 @DavidPeter! I see very diverse responses, it's interesting to see how everyone likes something different and their motives. I love all the features you mentioned as well and it's great to see how many of them have been implemented over the years.

I still have my Fitbit One that only tracks the basic information and it's incredible to see how technology evolves so fast 😀

I like the LCD screen on the Surge. The Surge and the Zip are the only ones I can see outside in the sun.

Apparently, I need a new phone to buy anything newer than the Charge 3, but why have a device I can't see?

I just worry about steps and calories, so the Zip is fine for me.

Hey @Gershon, long time, how are things?  I take it from your recent post your Surge is still operational, and to that I say, "WOW!"  I don't imagine too many of them are still running these days.  🙂

Badges are super fun and I love getting new ones, however, I'd say my favorite feature is an underrated one and it's the alarm.  I love that it wakes me up and only me.  It won't wake up my husband or dogs.

I do miss the large screen of the Fitbit Surge, @Gershon! Looks great when working out outside.

That's an interesting one, @Heather-S, definitely an important feature. No more time wasted choosing the ringtone for the alarms 😆, and it's only for us, as you mentioned. 😁

When I "upgraded" from the Surge to the Ionic I did kinda-sorta miss the always on LCD screen of the Surge.  That said, the Ionic was a far superior device in literally every other metric, and I quickly got used to the OLED screen on the Ionic.

@shipo

I only wear it occasionally. Good to see you.

I wear an analog Timex watch now. I keep the Zip in my pocket. I have a spare Zip as I bought an extra just before they were discontinued.

LOL, my "other watch" is also an analog device; in my case, it is fully mechanical right down to the mechanical "auto-winder".  🙂

In regards to the display, I'm loving the new Charge 5 @shipo! Cause I can easily read the screen outside. 😀

Built-in GPS is definitely useful, @JamesRingFitBit! I love seeing my GPS maps in the app afterwards. 😁
