Which Fitbit to get husband - any thoughts?

I have a fitbit one and love it.  Been using it over a year..  My husband is very competitive and now wants one too.  My question is  - which one.  We live on 120 acres.  He uses his tractor a lot, walks pastures, works in the garden etc...  we get most of our workout by working our land.  I am skeptical about getting him the ONE as he loses things out of his pockets often and doesnt look before washing clothes LOL (at least he washes his own clothes).

What advice do you all have?  Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

The fact that he uses a tracker makes me suggest he get something worn on the wrist. Bouncing around on a tractor may give false results. The question is, do you buy a Flex now or wait for the as yet unannounced replacement to the Force. If you get a Flex, I suggest picking up a small o-ring or 2 from the hardware store to use around the clasp to avoid it falling off as he is very active.

My wife got me an Ultra 2 years ago and I loved it. Was always fearful of losing it. Upgraded to a Flex last year and really like the no stress about losing it. No maintenance for me. Any Fitbit is a must.

I wear a FitBit Flex on my wrist and don't even notice it.  It doesn't seem to give me "steps" when I'm driving, and I drive a lot both in my commute and at work so it probably won't give your hubby steps on the tractor.  I swim at least a couple of times each week and wear my Flex in the shower so it won't be bothered by getting wet while he's working the land or digging in soil, I think it would be the best "Fit" for him.

Swim 2.4 miles, Bike 112 miles, Run 26.2 miles and brag for life. If I can do it anyone can!

I have the Fitbit One, and love that I have the display to see my progress throughout the day. I probably would have went with the Force had it still been on the market. My wife has the Fitbit Flex. I do like the idea of the wristband.

My suggestion is to determine what features your husband would want in his activity tracker. Just be mindful that the Fitbits are made for measuring step-based activities. They may not be so accurate for measuring other types of activity. I make that point since you mentioned doing a lot of farm work. Even so, I still use mine every day. It really does help motivate me to increase my steps and miles. I don't really deal with stairs in my daily routine, but probably would take the stairs more often, too.

On a side note, I currently live in town. My parents live out in the country. I was not really the farming type, but we did raise some livestock (pigs and chickens mostly). I do miss getting out with the animals on a daily basis. I have two dogs, and my family gets out in the yard with them quite a bit. I remember that I sometimes found interacting with the livestock to be more interesting than most things on TV. I'd just go walk out in the lots or woods and observe when I wanted to be outdoors. That's an experience I sometimes miss now that I live in town. Being outdoors in town is just not the same although I do enjoy the parks as much as possible.
