Why doesn't my cross fit workout show up on my fit bit?

ANSWERED

Do I have to log the activity in myself?  I can spend and hour doing a workout and my cross fit doesn't show any active minutes.

Accepted Solutions
Depending on what exercises you did in your workout of the day you would likely need to log. For me, my Fitbit One does well with activities that can be translated into steps like walking, running, sprinting, jumping rope, aerobic dancing, some plyometrics. It does not do well with resistance activities, body weight strength calisthenics like pushups, etc. Those I need to log. Some for aerobic non, step activities like cycling, swimming and rowing.

Thanks!  I will look at logging in my activities.  I plan on staring Cross Fit full

time next week.  I have the Fit Bit flex so it may be a bit different.  Thanks for your help!

I do crossfit and I getting nothing from rowing as much as there is hand motion involved.  I don't get it.

I row competitivly for a club we do cross fit as a warm up before going on the water. I hate that none of the excersise i do there is calcualated and i never have any active minutes on it becasue of that. You can manually enter the crew calories as there is a competitive rowing option but i am still not yet sure how i would enter the cross fit work out.

It's a pedometer. As @slysam said in her post, you will be much better off logging non-step based activities manually.
