The calories burned when I track exercise with my Garmin watch is always more than my Fitbit. I used to have an inspire 2 and the max/avg HR was often fairly different from my Garmin so I figured it just wasn't as good at tracking exercise, however I got a Pixel Watch 2 for Christmas and still have the big calorie discrepancies even when the HR values are much closer. I'm now wondering if maybe one platform is total calories and the other is differential (above my baseline). Anyone know which Fitbit tracks?

I know, for me, my Inspire 3 tracks gross calories -- exercise + BMR calories. Those are more useful if you are trying to balance food intake with calorie burn.

This is great YachatsMike. I plan to use the Inspire 3 for myself as I plan to start exercising more intensively. I read esporta fitness reviews and now nothing will stop me from getting a perfect body by summer. I hope that I will love sports so much that even when I achieve a good result, I will continue to do it
