Ive done the first 4 weeks before, but didnt finish it. It worked well for me then, but this time around the running curve is a bit much for me as I am starting from a low fitness level and not cross training on my days off.

I would suggest supplement your running days with other fitness programs that build overall body strength, and dont skip leg day. Strong legs will make it easier.

And dont train too hard!! There is no shame in doing weeks over.

This is what I started out with when I started working out. I liked it and have started it a few times and completed it all the way through not too long ago. I think it's a great way to slowly increase your run time without overdoing it.

I've started (and stopped) the C25K a couple of times.  It seems to work well and is a good interval training program.  Just keep in mind that depending on where you are physically you may need to repeat a level.  That is, if you are not physically ready to move to the next level then don't.  You will reach the end of the program at whatever time works for you.

I did C25K and finished it. It took a little longer for me. I did need to repeat a few days. I set a New Year's resolution to run a 5K. I actually ran 2, but then the temps got too warm for me. I was happy with the interval program. Good luck!

Feel free to add me too.

I felt better about this program after talking to other people here and some of them needed several extra weeks to complete it.  I am currently struggling through week 4.  I have designated two weeks to complete each week of the program.  As long as you keep trying and keep going, you will be ok!!

I have used the Zen Labs c25k app and really like it.  I have not completed it yet, but like the format and the way it ramps up.  Made it into week 5 without much trouble, but always have stalled out on the 20 minute run.  Have had some knee pain recently so backed of running and switched to the eliptical for a few weeks.  Best advice would be to keep at it and try not to get frustrated.  Yes you may miss some days, but just come back and try it again or restart that week to push through.  If you have not done much running / joggin in the recent past and feel pain, dont be afraid to back off.

I used the program all the way through and loved it. I went from barely exercising at all to being a fairly solid (but slow) runner. I began the program in early Feb and ran my first 5K in April and was able to run the whole way and post an ok time of 35:40 for my first race. Since then, I have run at least a 5K each month (with a couple 8Ks) and am now in the final stages of training for a half marathon in just over 2 weeks. You can totally do it as long as you stick to it. Seriously, in Jan of this year, I couldn't run 30 seconds without getting so winded I had to stop, and now, last Sunday, I ran 12 miles without stopping.

I have just started it! I am a little confused as what to do on the alternate days so I've gone for a long walk.

Finding it easier to do outdoors rather than on a treadmill.
