I assume you mean for daily step goal.

If in phone app, tap profile pic near top left.  Under 'Goals', tap 'Activity'.  Tap 'Steps' and change to whatever you want.

Changes on app, but still says 10,000 on my Dashboard on computer; is the 10K a default?  Thanks for answer on how to change # of steps.

Yes, 10K is default goal.  I did change my daily step goal on phone app and it changed on fitbit.com dashboard also; maybe just have to give it some time.
