I like to take walks w/my daughter but the Fitbit Charge doesn't record my steps when I'm pushing her stroller. How do you get around that? Would it work if I put it on my ankle?

Yes it would work around your ankle, as long as you are able to fit it around your ankle.

I have found the fitbit will not record my steps on a treadmill, if I am holding on to the handle. If I let the arm with the fitbit on it swing, and just hold on with the other hand, it will count. Try using only the non fitbit hand to push the stroller. See if your steps count then. Although, it does count if I'm holding the dog leads in the fitbit hand. There is no rhyme or reason to it counting or not counting... 😕

Or put it in a pocket. Wont be accurate but better than getting none

The step count on my Surge works fine for me if I put it in my pocket when pushing a shopping cart or grasping a treadmill railing.

Same issue with the grocery cart. I have been trying to just push it with one hand and let the one with the fitbit swing, but I will try putting it in my pocket next time and see if that works better. I always think I must look like a weirdo pushing the cart around all crooked with one hand.

When I'm walking with a stroller or cart. I put it on my bra strap seems to be pretty accurate. But now I have a Britax jogger & I can manuever it with one hand.

When we go grocery shopping, it is my job to push the shopping cart. Can't usually push it with one hand, since the cart tends to wander all over the place, and it won't count any steps if I use both hands. So, I take the Charge HR off and put it in my jeans pocket. It counts the steps pretty accurately there. Of course, I lose the HR function but that is not a big problem.

I have the charge HR. When I walk a very steep incline on the treadmill, I hold on to the top of the display. I still get steps counted. It counts steps when I am pushing a cart. I have it on continous synch to watch the step count and it does the same as if my arms are swinging. It misses every third or fourth step, catches up, misses, so on and so on. Either mine is wacky or maybe everyone assumes it doesn't count?
