Ok, so i went through and found names for all the reps i do, My aim is for low intensity so sometimes i will get 27 of the 30 min i do these in in active minutes on my fitbit, sometimes i only get a min, it depends on a day to day basis so i'm trying to get a rough round number so i can logg it well. Right now mfp is only counting calories burned with extra steps... I don't understand it as well... my fitbit says i burned over 1000 cal the other day in active minutes and in only got 883 cal for steps on the MFP side so i'm not sure which app to go off of to know what i burn fully. either way.,.. (if someone wants to explain why the app only counts the steps, that would be awesome but if not thats fine too)
I do the fallowing, and they aren't in order as i do them just to know.
30 high steps, 15 per leg
30 flutter kicks, 15 per leg
15 reverse situps, (the one where you lift your legs up as far as you can and go back down without hitting the floor lol)
30 cross situps, 15 per side
15 regular situps
30 donkey kicks, 15 per side
15 weighted squats with a 15lb sand ball
15 side lunges with a 15lb sand ball
30 step ups, using a boost stool my kids have, 15 each side.
15 overhead extensions with the 15lb sand ball.
15 bent over rows with 2 5lb hand bell weights
15 lateral risess with the 2 5lb hand bell weights
15 overhead shoulder presses with 2 5lb hand bell weights
15 lateral and front curl lifts with an exercise band, i do both types each rep
15 Criss cross "punches" with the 2 5lb hand bell weights
30 heel touches, 15 each side
30 side bends with the 2 5lb hand bell weights 15 each side
15 pelvic thrusts, my daughter sits on my belly while i do this and she's almost 47lbs now, its super fun for her.
30 Russian twists, i cross my legs then switch them and do it again so its 15 reps per to stretch evenly when i do them, with the 15lb sand ball
Then i don't know what the name of this one is but i lay down with my knees up, i lift my 15lb sand ball up straight, keep my arms straight, go back over my head and behind but i won't let it hit the floor, i hold for 3 seconds then bring it back up straight above me and then bring it down slow.
I do these every week day, giving myself Saturday and Sunday off. Been consistent two weeks now. I started with 10 reps instead of 15 last week but they were too easy, the upped 15 reps are much better lol.
to clarify, i have pcos, so the low intensity is to help reduce cortisol levels and i get an average of a little over 5000 steps a day.
oh!
Also, here are my specs
i'm 5 ft 8 in
249.8 lbs
30 yo
Female
and i count as an active person, i do chores daily, go outside as much as i can with the kids, i do macro photography so i constantly walk around trying to find bugs to photograph just about every time i'm out. I don't stay sitting long is my point lol
I started trying to get my weight in check back in nov 2020 but never really stayed consistant and let myself go over the holidays this past year and i'm making up for it. lol
doing better tho!
Oh! and i am getting PLENTY of protein too! i have a plant based powder i use in the mornings, i have turkey with lunch and i have a meat with dinner.
I use my fitness pal to logg my food but i think i might be switching soon. I hate how inconsistent my calories burned is on the app..
thank you in advance for the help!

You said " i'm trying to get a rough round number so i can logg it well." That sounds like you are logging your workout manually after you are finished. You can completely avoid that issue by using the Exercise App on your wrist, calling it 'Workout' and telling it when you start and stop. That will get you the exact data fitbit is recording without trying to make an estimate to log it after the fact.
I don't use MyFitnessPal so don't know anything about that or "calories burned from extra steps" which I guess is an mfp thing.
"if someone wants to explain why the app only counts the steps, that would be awesome"
"the app"- don't know if your mean Fitbit app or mfp app. If you mean Fitbit app, I don't know what you mean by 'only counts the steps'.

Sorry, i was talking about the my fitnesspal app. It only shows steps then a calories burned amount. I've not been logging it manually tho . At the mercy of my heart rate for anything to show up. 31 min total tho... just stressing. The my fitnesspal app messed up something and i over ate 😕 neither the mfp app or fitbit adjust well for me because i have pcos. I have to have fitbit on max weight to come close to the 1500 goal my doc told me. Its super frustrating

I may not be qualified to say this, but from what I have seen in many posts, unless you have a strong overriding reason, it seems to me that using multiple apps for the same purpose usually leads to more confusion. Or perhaps this is all about MyFitnessPal, and has nothing to do with Fitbit.

I was logging my food with my fitness pal before i had the fitbit and the meals and foods i had logged can't be transferred over which rather stinks. That and my fitness pal has the projected calories burned as its own number. Fitbit doesn't do that at all, its all jumbled with the BMR

@Krystal1347 if you have the fitbit that reads your HR, then your calories burned are derived from that. if you start a workout and do your routine, stop it at the end of it, it will show you how many calories you burned for that activity. the rest of the calories for the day will be your burned calories for playing outside, chores and staying alive. as far as protein is concerned- it is good for you, don't get me wrong, but having plenty of it doesn't equal weight loss. your overall calorie intake for the day is going to determine if you lose, gain or stay the same.

I don't get the option on my charge 4 for a workout timer sadly. Its supposed to auto recognize but doesn't because its all pretty low intensity stuff.

@Krystal1347 you need to open Exercise app on the watch and select one of the types of exercises to track. Do not rely on autorecognition to track your workouts if you want to be sure it's tracking all correctly. Then you will see how much you burnt during your session.

I have the option for run, bike, walk, swim treadmill and outdoor workout. None of which this falls under sadly.

@Krystal1347 for anything that doesn't fall under the category you need is "Workout" (later you can rename it). If you don't see Workout and you use one of the older FItbits (like the Charge series) then you should be able to add Workout in the app, sync and then be able to use it on your watch. Newer devices (Sense, Versa 3) have all the types of activities listed.

it doesn't have that option, i just went in and looked again, what i listed above are my only options. i use the charge 4, i've done this a few times trying to get it on here but the only time it shows up is under the auto recognize section.

The Fitbit device is basically a collection of sensors that record movements - the data is processed and the activity estimated. While it generally works you may see a few oddities (when I mow the lawn it records an hour of "bike activity" LOL). These activity estimates are based on the Fitbit being consistently attached and moving, so walking and swinging your Fitbit arm forward and back is seen as walking, but walking with your Fitbit arm holding a phone in front of your face and watching a video, talking to someone, or posting on social media can result in a different exercise estimate. This is not a problem, it's just what we are all doing occasionally. Change your "activity" and you are changing the data that the Fitbit is processing so this is not a "problem" it's just data interpretation efforts ... my Charge 4 does a very good job but I don't expect it to be 100% accurate given that it's just a collection of sensors wrapped on my wrist ... but 90% is excellent.
