I dunno what time you get spare in the day but just find a place where you can do laps .Maybe the gym at school .
Or wherever you work take the long way wherever you go instead of the fast route.

When I worked I made sure I got up every hour to get my 250 steps in. Still do but walk around my house.
If work has floors walk up the flight to get to the next floor to get water, go to bathroom etc.
Walk to talk to a co-worker dont email
I park far away where ever I go
Edit to add:
See this thread it has many ideas

If I'm not going to the gym in the morning, then my goal is to get between 3,000 and 5,000 steps before I leave for work. I do this by walking around the house, doing chores, getting ready for work, and playing with my dogs. I'd say 4,000 is usually the average that I have when leaving for work.
I always try for my 250 steps per hour. To do this, I take the long route to the bathroom and the breakroom. Sometimes I'll just walk up and down the hallways with a file in my hand so people think I'm on official business when I'm really just getting steps. I also don't park close to the office.
We also have a walking group at work. A few of us will walk for 30 minutes outside when the weather isn't bad. If the weather is awful, I will do laps around our big conference room for 20-25 minutes. Doing this usually gets me to my 10K step goal. And then I aim to do another 3,000 at home by making dinner, playing with my dogs, and more housework.
It's not hard at all, but you have to be intentional!

I often have long phone meetings. For these, I bought a desk cycle -- a small cycling machine I keep under my desk. I also have the option of standing at my desk -- a doctor's note is all it took for this modification.
I also take the stairs during bathroom breaks, walk to the desks of coworkers instead of emailing them, take a couple of breaks to walk around the building every day, and sometimes walk at lunch. It all adds up. In fact, I frequently average more steps during the work week than I do on weekends.
At home, I may walk in place while watching TV or bounce lightly on my rebounder. This is all incidental exercise -- I also have much more intense weight lifting or cardio sessions throughout the week.

I regularly will walk around the block a few times.

I get up early and do 30 to 35 minutes of walking or walking/toning videos before breakfast. Between that and walking around to get ready, I try to have 4,000 steps down before I walk out the door. I live in a city, so I rely on public transit. I also transfer buses on my commute. Since the second bus picks me up near a park, and I get on at the beginning of the line, I walk around the sidewalks for as long as I can. I get on the bus maybe three to five minutes before it leaves. I try to have at least 5,000 steps by then. At work, my duties sometimes take me from my desk, but I also get up and walk around every hour. When I use the restroom, I take the long way back to my office. On my way back home, I get off my first bus one stop early and walk to catch my second. Going out for lunch, while expensive, is another way to get steps in, but I try not to do it too much.
