logging dumb bell work outs

can someone tell me how to log dumbbell work outs. Have just started as I incline while running thought it would be good to work on arms also.

I would add weights separate and add as weights

You can also experiment with treadmill or elliptical modes. Elliptical might actually be close, because it uses arm motions also.

just to clarify, are you holding dumbbells while you are on the treadmill or is this a separate workout? If separate then you can log it as a workout, but if it is while you are on the treadmill, it should be the same workout that you are logging for the treadmill. your effort will be captured as walk, treadmill or whatever you log it as. It is the same time interval, length of activity, effort- why would you log it separate?

For a while, I did treadmill and treadmill with a weight vest. I preferred to log the weighted vest work separately, so I could compare those workouts separately. Not sure if that's what the OP is trying to do, but that could be one situation where logging separately might work.

@WavyDavey hi ya.. I guess that makes sense. I do weighted vest high incline but I just log it as treadmill.. I know which days I do what so I can see the difference.  Which.. in calories I would expect more. For me it's more sweat to be honest.  Not mad about it.. toxins saying see ya
