This is a continuation of the topic concerning PACE calculation.  This is an example that refers to the PACE while swimming.  If a person does 1000yds in 40mins (that is slow), what would the PACE be for a  100yds ?    4mins for each 100yds.    Hence, 10×4=40mins. 4'00"  refers to the number of feet ('),  (") the number of secs.   NOT feet and inches.
