So I have always been a huge eater my whole life, my father has high metobolism and he thankfully passed that trait down to me. I was 125 my whole teenage years. After I had my son is when I gained the extra weight and was 160 up until now. My trick for lunch has been I eat a healthy choice cafe steamer bowl and on the side I eat an entire bag of steam vegetables in a bag. My lunch is about 350-400 calories and Im full! I get full mostly off the vegetables and I try to switch them up... Brussel Sprouts, Green beans, Broccoli, Asparagus. For the vegetables I use this salt-free seasoning by Mrs. Dash called "Lemon Pepper" ... no calories, no salt no sugar... just 10mg of potassium. Makes the vegetables delish without adding the extra calories. My thing was I was never full from the those frozen diet meals so I added a filling twist with the vegetables and its worked for me. You could do this for lunch or dinner. I have to say the Healthy Choice bowls are my favorite, they are all soo good!!!
Over the past 2 weeks I went from 158 now down to 151.8! This trick for lunch has helped me maintain my calorie goal!

Wow @CharmCityNicki! That is awesome to hear. I'm so glad that you are motivated and determined to do your best. I will try your suggestion since I need to lose some pounds myself and I also want to share a blog that one of our Community Members, @HealthyMiser, posted earlier this year. Here is the link:

One Thing I believe is critical is finding an easy and effective way of Keeping track of Intake and burn, but not just in Calories, but your entire Nutritional intake...Yes, Sodium too
(Dont' forget that you do NEED sodium, so a little is good. My latest Post talks about the importance of tracking, and makes some suggestions where that's concerned, with a reccomendation on how to do it for Free.(It is the Healthy MISER's blog after all. 😄 http://thehealthymiser.blogspot.com/2014/10/keeping-track-of-things-easy-way.html

Excellent @HealthyMiser! This will come in handy for me. I have trouble balancing my food intake at night because of my shift. I will try my best though.
Thanks again! ![]()
