Allow users to create and modify recipes in app and log serving sizes

ANSWERED

I know that this issue has been raised before but I see no resolution. I have just spent, what felt like hours, inputting a specialised meal in my food log. The recipe is for 4 & I assumed (wrongly), that I would be able to portion it at the end (I can in MyfitnessPal - just saying!).  There is no way I'm going to sit here & work out the calorie content etc for 1 serving so isn't it about time Fitbit offered this option?  otherwise I'm just going to use MyfitnessPal and cancel my Fitbit Premium.

Cheers,

KD

A loooong overdue feature. LoseIt! has an excellent Recipe builder feature and also integrates well with Fitbit which is why I have used it for years.

Yes please! Any other food tracking app I've ever used has had this feature. Would also love to see a 'quick add' feature that allows you to quickly log meals you've had earlier in the week. If I have leftovers today, I will be eating the same thing tomorrow. if I could just select 'yesterday's dinner' for my dinner logging, that'd be a lot quicker. Noom has this function.

Yes, yes, a thousand yesses to this!  I assumed the same thing you did and have wasted so much time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong before discovering that it's Fitbit that's doing it wrong. This seems like such an obvious need.  Why not just let us select a portion size other than "1" after we've saved a fulle recipe?

I agree a portion size button needs to be added to the meal recipe tab. The only way around it I found is to input all the ingredients and then divide the stats by how many portions then go into custom food on the app and add the 1 portion stats. Hardly worth the effort and a waste of time. Please Fitbit fix this.

JFYI, it looks like LoseIt! requires a premium account (ie $$) to sync with fitbit

Agreed! This is a frustrating feature of the functionality when trying to create recipes for a family and get micronutrient information.

At the very least, it would even help to indicate a different serving size than "1 serving" when logging a meal (i.e. 1/8 serving). This functionality is available for custom foods in the app, why isn't this same functionality available when logging a custom meal in the app?

That sounds like a fantastic idea! Allowing users to create and modify their own recipes would not only give them a sense of ownership over their cooking journey but also foster a sense of community as they share their creations with free youtube to mp3 others. Additionally, the ability to log serving sizes would be incredibly beneficial for those who are mindful of their portions or tracking their nutritional intake. It adds a layer of personalization and functionality that can greatly enhance the app's value proposition. Count me in for supporting this feature!
