Hi, I have a Charge 6 and just noticed that when I open the Fitbit app it shows the dashboard as how many calories burned, steps taken, calories in and current weight recorded.
When I go to Nutrition => Food in the app, there is a dashboard for calories in and calories out. Calories out is showing much higher than the main dashboard. For example, I'm showing 2,135 calories out in Nutrition => Food and 1,616 calories burned on the main dashboard. Shouldn't they be the same?

If I'm understanding correctly: on the main dashboard, your 'calories out' displays the number of calories you have currently burned as of right now, in this moment.
When you go into the Nutrition & Food portion, it tends to show an estimate of the total number of calories your will burn for the whole day. So it includes your current burned cals + what fitbit believes you will burn over the remainder of the day.

Your reply is not correct. I have my fitbit versa 2 for several years and that was never the reason. The last several weeks I have had the same problem. The app does not assume what you will burn for the remainder of the day. Also, when I go to log my food ,the days of the week that aren't here yet have gray bars. Tried all suggestions given but to no avail.

What did you do?

Oh, sorry then! That's interesting though, because I'm on my fourth or fifth Fitbit at this stage and that's always been the case for me, and is currently the case for me (dashboard shows current cals out, nutrition shows an estimate.) If that's not what displays for you, and has never displayed for you, then I'm not sure what it might be.

I'm also having this problem. I've set my app to the manage weight focus so see my current cal in and cal out right at the top. Under Food the Today BUDGET area is always putting in some higher number for my cal out than my current.
My guess is it's actually using some sort of setting to estimate this. From what I've read you can adjust your activity settings to be "sedintary" if you have a fitbit pro and then this estimate should match. the current cal out. I cannot confirm since I am not paying for this service. Anyone have it and can confirm / refute?

From what I can gather it's an end of day estimate, when I've looked back at previous days calories out and energy burned have synced up. What I don't understand though is my calories in plus my remaining calories plus my deficit is usually more than my "estimated" calories out until late into the evening when it seems to sort itself out. Basically I have no idea what's going on.

Yes they have changed something recently and it's so so annoying and doesn't make sense at all
