Unclear why the Fitbit chart states that a a bunch of broccoli has over 1000 mg of sodium. Broccoli is virtually sodium free.

Yeah, wikipedia shows 33mg of sodium in 100g of broccoli. I wonder if the sample entered was from a bag-o-broccoli and therefore requiring preservatives?

Nope, on the Fitbit chart, it's just "broccoli, one bunch."

I looked it up on Calorieking.com and Raw there does have 29MG of sodium. Same on Fat Secret.
So I Googled why and found this:

Good article, @WendyB!
I am an absolute broccoli fiend. I love it fresh, steamed, frozen (well, thawed, lol. ), on pizza, rice, omelets - you name it. About the only way I won't eat it, is if it's covered in cheese sauce. I keep packages of Birds Eye steamers in the freezer for quick meals, but you really have to watch with the frozen veg, as sometimes they sneak in a pile of sodium when you're not looking. I was appalled when I picked up some Green Giant one day and noticed it had over 300mg of sodium!

How come this shows as "Accepted Solution"?????
The questioner stated it was a "bunch" of fresh brocolli. I'm noticing the same thing, stuff I make from scratch, without adding salt, calculating HUNDREDS of mg of salt! No, I'm not choosing a pre-packaged brand. My fitbit is showing me eating 4000+ mg of sodium per day - WAY OFF. In fact, the packaged foods I scan the barcode & they calculate correctly.
Today I had two eggs and fitbit shows just "2 eggs" had 270mg of sodium. Are they assuming I scrambled them and added salt, or used some kind of fat in the pan which had salt? I large egg has just 70mg of sodium, so they are assuming something.
Most mornings I have oatmeal. The box of Quaker Instant shows 0 sodium for 1/2 cup dry - I only eat 1/4 cup. Fitbit shows 286.5mg of salt!!!!!!! CLEARLY there is an error in this nutrition database.
I had planned on exporting my data today to take to my doctor. Now I CAN'T DO THAT, because he will flip when he sees the sodium totals. I'm not sure he will believe me when I tell him they are way off from reality. But one MAIN REASON I'm using the fitbit is because I have a resident, incurable disease and wanted to have something to show him about how much I eat, what I eat, and how much I exercise. Now wondering if I should return the FITBIT and buy a Garmin.
