That’s ridiculous and dangerous to lose 20lbs in 2 weeks. You’re selling something that’s a scam and fake and you’ve been reported. Stop trying to reach naive people.

It is a fantastic diet! I've lost 5 lbs but am gaining it back as I was a chronic under eater before. I'm already feeling changes 7 days into my 30 day challenge.

Maybe, 2 years ago, I tried to sit on a carnivorous diet, but in fact it was very difficult for me, I dispelled this myth for myself that a person needs to eat only meat, now experiment number 2 in a couple of days I want to try an egg diet for two weeks my friend sent me this one https://betterme.world/articles/14-day-boiled-egg-diet/ , I will share my experience later

I haven't been doing strictly carnivore, but I have cut sugar and starch from my diet, and am focused on whole foods. A typical dinner is an 8oz sirloin, and 9oz of green beans cooked in melted butter, or 10oz salmon + another veggy. Brekky is usually eggs cooked in butter. I eat a fair amount of cheese as a snack or a desert.
So it's kind of carnivore + some veggies. I have lost 40 pounds since November 2022 and feel great (starting weight ~330).
I'd call this kind of a Gary Taubes inspired diet.

Mary,
I understand your reaction, there is a lot of bogus info on the interwebs around nutrition! OTOH, when I really cut carbohydrates from my diet, I lost about 13 pounds of water weight almost immediately (starting weight 330). I was pretty close to a 20lb loss by the end of the month. This is a pretty well known effect of drastically cutting sugars and starches. Below is a graph of that first month (November 2022).

Perhaps an immodest question. But after eliminating carbs, how is your digestion? It's just that even when I cut back on carbs, I get discomfort.

I know it's hard to believe, but the carnivore diet is not fake or a scam. In fact, it's how our ancestors survived for thousands of years before the agricultural age began. It's how humans developed their large brains and evolved. There is no such thing as an "essential carbohydrate". If you never ate another carbohydrate again, it would not kill you. The same cannot be said for protein and fat. They are the only two essential nutrients required to sustain human life. There are many people that not only survive, but thrive, on a carnivore diet. And if someone wants to reverse (i.e. put into remission) type 2 diabetes, a carnivore diet is the way to go. A keto or ketovore (mostly meat with small veg/fruit) diet will work too, but carnivore will get you there faster.

It is so fascinating how these fad diets driven by social media and marketing can poison the same brain and body we are trying to protect and nourish.
People who get their nutrition advice via social media are so vulnerable to these kinds of gimmicks and its sad that some get seriously hurt and had long term effects to their health.
A diet focused on animal meat as protein source, not only is high in cholesterol and saturated fat, it is also scientifically proven to promote the development of an inflammatory environment in our gut, and our body leading to various forms of cancer, cdv diseases and diabetes (to name a few). Animal food, does not contain any fibre, which our gut bacteria thrives on. A diet depleted of fibre, promotes inflammatory microbiome to thrive and eventually outnumber our health promoting microbes.
Human diet should be shifted more into plant forward, containing whole (minimally processed) plant foods that are not only rich in complex carbohydrates, but also naturally rich in fibre, fibre that is fed into our health promoting microbiome.
as simple as
instead of white, chose brown rice (applies to bread, brown wholewheat instead of the cheap white)
when eating a potato, eat the whole, even the skin - stay away from fried
lots of grean leafy veges
pulses, legumes, nuts and seeds
variety of fruits, refrain from juice (you need the fibre, your microbiome will thank you)

With all due respect, more and more studies support a low carb, high fat intake with little or no adverse effects. What we are/were taught about nutrition is based on data that is stagnate and has been recycled for decades.
Eating the carnivore way is not effecting you personally. It is a choice, however you may feel about it.
I am not here to argue.
I appreciate your professional opinion, but there is always more then one way to good health.

I have tried all the diets Keto Carnivore SW WW etc over the years however I have only been successful recently using my fit bit and using a 1000 calorie deficit a day and monitoring my activity ( Calorie burn ) and calorie intake . I have a balanced diet of protein fat and carbs . If I fancy a treat I up my activity . I don’t crave for anything . I have consistently lost 2 pounds a week over a 2 months . For me this is a diet that is sustainable. My average calorie intake per day is 1600 but I on average I burn 2600 . BMR is taken into account . For me it has to date been amazing .

Never heard of a carnivore diet, however, I have had in the past a diet of meet and 2 veg and cut-out carbs. I shall look into the carnivore diet more.

Not so for me. I used to have high cholesterol, was overweight and guts etc not great. Twenty years ago I started a largely carnivore diet and feel great. Low cholesterol, just the right weight and feel great. Loads of energy.
The fad diet is the plant based diet driven by social media. And the great thing about diets is that you can test on yourself!

The recommended healthy amount of pounds to lose in a week is 1-2 lbs. losing 20 lbs in 2 weeks is dangerous and not healthy for u at all.

Relative to a carnivore diet - the ability to manage saturated fats varies from one individual to the next - Inuit people are genetically adapted to a carnivore diet vs. where carbs would be a problem. Vice versa for those who are more suited to eat carbs but not meat. Otherwise, Carnivore can be useful if it's compatible with your genetics (ability to manage saturated fats) vs. where it's reputed to promote a net increase in 'all-cause-mortality' - basically a LCHF diet. Note that die hard carnivores have included fruit and honey into their diet - more 'paleo' which seems reasonable if you consider what foods might have been readily available in nature (fruits & veggies?), along with wild game, fish etc. Otherwise, they tend to frown on eating plants themselves since antinutrients in plants are meant to discourage that sort of thing except for those that tolerate them.
