Black coffee does not count, I do intermittent fasting and that means not getting any calories in from anything for 16 hrs in order to not put your system out of balance and I can drink however much coffee I want!

@Shaun30011 you may want to consider forming a full question so we can help you. I think based on the responses you are asking if coffee counts as water? In my opinion it does not since all though coffee is really good for some things it has a dehydrating quality which defeats the purpose of hydrating..

If your talking about if your body can use the water in coffee to hydrate itself, then yes coffee soda, tea etc does count.
If your thinking if the other contents in these drinks such as suger and caffeine, this would be a different question.
Both coffee and tea in moderation have many benefits that plain water can not give.
If we are asking about hydration then we also would want to include the water in soups, stews, salads, vegitables, and yes meats.
Should this be drank durring fasting, this would be up to the individual.
As for detoxing, any healthy diet will allow the liver to function properly and aid to detoxing. No special diet is required.
As for fasting, yes shirt term fasting has been found to be benificben.
I do agree with @emili your question isn't specific enough to know what is being asked.

It’s true that caffeine is a mild diuretic, which means that it causes your kidneys to flush extra sodium and water from the body through urine. If you’re peeing frequently, and thus losing lots of liquid, it’s logical to think you could become dehydrated — but it actually doesn’t work that way, explains Dr. Daniel Vigil, an associate clinical professor of family medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles. “When you drink a cup of coffee or you drink a glass of iced tea, you are necessarily taking in a volume of fluid along with that dose of [caffeine],” Vigil says. Even though caffeine is a mild diuretic, Vigil says, you won’t lose more fluid through urine than you take in by drinking a caffeinated beverage. Your body is able to absorb as much fluid as it needs and expel the rest, he says. For that reason, your morning pick-me-up actually helps hydrate you, not the opposite. Vigil says that coffee and tea “can and should” count toward your daily eight-or-so cups of water per day.

For water, no, since it dehydrates you.
For calories, no, if it is BLACK COFFEE ONLY.
For calories, yes, if you are adding stuff to it.
For example, I put about a tablespoon of half-and-half and a packet of white sugar into my morning coffee.
I only log the half-and-half and white sugar.

Interesting to see different opinions about this, after all, if you're like me and you drink at least three cups of coffee or more every day, those calories (from milk or sugar) can really add up and have some impact on your daily calorie intake. 😎
