Healthy Cycling Snacks

I was looking for a good protein snack when cycling, what I found were expensive unknown quantities.  I came across this recipe (😋😞

I substituted walnuts for the chia seeds, real maple syrup for the honey, used organic oats, Hershey's special dark chocolate cocoa, added a tablespoon of ground flax seed; threw it all in the food processor & voila yummy little round energy boosters.  I also substituted a scoop of muscle milk & scoop of Slimfast powder for the protein powder but there are added calories to consider.

I was actually searching protein snack recipe on the internet and saw your recipe. That was so superb, and I have started making protein snack by following your recipe. And that's really beneficial for me before going to cycling. Thank you so much!

I cannot eat coconut. Any suggestions for a substitution for that ingredient?
