Interpreting Fitbit nutrition data

ANSWERED

Hi everyone,

I have a very specific question about interpreting Fitbit data: Total Carbs, Net Carbs, Added Sugars.  This is probably not Fitbit specific but I thought this would be a great place to ask.

Hypothetically, let's say the Fitbit app shows me this:

Total Carbs:     71g

Fiber:               42g

Sugars:            18g

71g - 42g = 29g net carbs (pretty sure this is correct)

29g - 18g = 11g of... would these be complex carbs?  And the 18g, are those all my simple carbs?

In this example, I'm curious about the different types of carbohydrates.  Total is easy, Fiber is easy, Net is easy... it's the added sugars, simple/complex carb thing that I need to clarify.  Thank you!

I moved your post to the Healthy Eating board.

The remaining 11 g are complex carbohydrates, yes. Added sugars are part if your sugars.
