Just wanted to tell everyone about a recipe I have found for Tea Loaf. It has very little fat per slice, very easy to make and tastes lovely.
Ingredients: Serves: 6 280g (10 oz) raisins
300ml (10 fl oz) strong hot tea
340g (12 oz) self raising flour
110g (4 oz) sugar
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 egg, beaten
Method: Prep:10min › Cook:1hr › Ready in:1hr10min
Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Steep the raisins in the hot tea for half an hour. Mix dry ingredients together. Add the raisin-tea mixture and the beaten egg. Gently combine using a rubber spatula, but don't overmix. Scoop ingredients into an oiled loaf tin. Bake at 180 C / Gas 4 for 1 hour.

Sorry Carl
I miscalulated the amount of sugar on the calorie calculator I am using.
That should be 92 g carbs and of which 52g is sugars per potion, I think the portions on the recipes are very generous.
You could easily get 10 portions from one loaf and then it would be the following per portions.
Calories: 255
Carbs: 55g of which sugars is: 31g
Fat: 1g
Protein: 5g
Sodium: 267mg
A friend of mine has suggested that I can switch out half the amount of sugar with a granulated sweetner like Stevia, but I am relucatant to use sweetners.
