Macros Tracking needs an update

I am diabetic which I have successfully controlled with diet and exercise (thanks Fitbit!).  Now I am registering high cholesterol.  I love that I can track my macros on my Charge 3, but it needs an update.  When I use a previously posted item, but only consume a partial amount of the posted item, the tracker does the calculations for the calories, but doesn't adjust the other nutritional information.  It is such a pain in the butt to have to input a new item every time I have a different portion size just to get the macros right and it seems like it should be an easy fix from the programming standpoint since it already apportions the calories correctly.  The same formulas could easily be applied to the rest of the nutritional information (especially the carbs and fats) in my humble opinion.  🙂 I would absolutely love it!

Sorry, but the Charge 3 does not track macros or food.. This is a function of the Fitbit app.

Now if you have a suggestion, then let's visit the feature suggestion board. This is where Fitbit users may add and vote for requests.

Before adding a new feature, let's do a search since I'm aware of several requests for macro updates.

I'm also moving the non hardware question to the online dashboard

I don't think you understand what I have asked for.  It should be a simple fix and should already work, but doesn't.  The calories for a certain portion of a certain food are adjusted when the portion size is adjusted (from say one cup of rice to 1/2 cup of rice=1/2 the amount of calories), but the macros (carbs, fats, proteins percentages) are not automatically adjusted with the reduction to the portion size.  It seems like it should be a simple formula to also cut the carbs, fats, and proteins by 1/2 in the above example.  The tracker app currently does not do this and it seriously messes up the macros.  I struggle to get enough protein and need accurate reporting.  I have tried finding this thread in the links you provided in your reply and can not do so.  Please help me.

I understood, your posting in the community forum where the community of Fitbit users donate their time and asking users to fix the Fitbit program.

I suggested that it might be better to ask the Fitbit developers

That is the purpose of the feature suggestion board..

Feature Suggestion FAQsFeature Suggestions PolicyHow does Feature Suggestions work?

What I can suggest is to get involved with the Life Style discussions especially the Eat Well. Board. I'm sure that you are not the only one and possibly could receive insight on how others manage this aspect.

It hasn't been very long that Fitbit has had the macro management.
