I have been on the Mediterranean Diet for 17 weeks. I use https://www.platejoy.com/
I started the diet for all the same reasons that you mentioned. So, in 17 weeks I have lost 8lbs so far. I also started walking, a lot, and try for a minimum of 10,000 steps a day.
I love the Platejoy site because you plug in your criteria and it spits out recipes, a weekly menu AND a shopping list. No work on my part and the food has been fantastic.
I spoke to my doctor in Sept. to discuss bloodwork results which were showing cholesterol moving in a bad direction. He set up new bloodwork which I did in early Jan and the numbers are moving in the right direction. I meet with him again on Tues.

Hi everyone!
I think there are good diets that help us to achieve our weight goals. The Mediterranean diet sounds like a great option. I suggest to consult with a doctor or a diet specialist before starting a diet to be sure your health won't be affected.
See you around.
