Navigating Restaurant Menus and Eating Clean

Chili's Salmon - Guiltless GrillChili's Salmon - Guiltless GrillChili's Burger & FriesChili's Burger & Fries

When someone from work would ask me to go out to lunch I would panic.  How am I going to stay on my healthy eating plan???  Nowadays it’s not too hard.  Most restaurants have their menu online, including the calorie count and macros.  And most of them are offering healthier choices.

For instance, Chili’s offers a “Guiltless Grill” menu with 5-7 healthy options.  Even McDonalds offers 11 healthy options for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

So, check out the menu BEFORE you go to the restaurant.  Once you get there and see other unhealthy choices and smell that burger with fries it may be too late.

How true @bodylogicbyjeff ! We can make better choices, no matter where we eat. With the "stay at home" orders, I've been cooking more and actually don't miss the restaurants. Being able to control the sodium and fat at home good. Once we start going out again, I'll probably be even more cautious where I eat. Always checking the online nutritional value of food is a good idea. Many of the foods my husband thought were healthy, were sodium and cholesterol nightmares. Only.....now I want that burger you posted!

Make a Burger at home. We also have an Air Fryer to do fries in. They come out really good.
