I'm using papaya for the first time. I did a Google search about the seeds. Apparently they are healthy to eat. But are bitter and can be a substitute for black pepper. My question is since it sounds like I shouldn't include them in my smoothie can I somehow save them for later? Thanks.

My husband ate them simply by reaching in the bag and munching on them. Yes, some are bitter but most aren't. They kinda taste like almonds. He'd pucker up and complain when he got one of the icky ones. The bag had a zip lock on it so it was easy storage.
