There was a fan column about Popeye's Chicken Sandwich posted on Aug 20, 2019 in the New Yorker.
I was intrigued so I looked up the calorie count on the Fitbit list.

This cannot be right:
1 serving = 227 calories
Serving size = 227 grams
This is obviously wrong: 1 calorie per gram of weight? Just bread is about 2.5 calories/gram of weight.
And contents = 23g fat, 56g carbs, 33g protein.
There must have been some kind of incorrect transfer of information from Popeye's or some kind of calculation error.

🤣 That is really interesting! I often get low calorie recipes off the internet and I usually check the calorie content, especially the ones that seem too good to be true. And guess what? They are often wong by HEAPS! So if you are using calorie counted off the internet - CHECK!

If you read it closely the right hand column says "Calories from fat alone :560 so the first 227 is no doubt a typo.
Lots of sodium as well at 1700.

I live not far from a chain location and the lines in the drive through have been ridiculous. all I want to do is knock on their windows and ask them if they are getting a cardiac check up immediately after consumption. it is so easy to come up with your own version of something similar where you can control the sodium, fat and calories... my opinion of course.
