You could try coconut yogurt, or coconut milk, for a slightly different taste. I use the protein powder (vanilla or banana) to make pancakes. Mix one scoop of powder with one egg white. Wisk. Add water if too thick. I add cinnamon or pumpkin spice to mine, for a little extra flavor.

@Jen1984 Almond, soy, or coconut milk are all solid non-dairy ingredients that you could use to replace milk in protein shakes.
I've also seen recipes like this one that use freshly brewed coffee as the liquid ingredient for morning protein shakes.
You could also use a flavorless protein powder or a protein powder that tastes well in fruit smoothies too.
