Quick And Simple Healthy Meals For Work

Hi my name is Michael Burgess

I work for mcdonalds in the uk and have worked there for 4 years now. Now I think it is about time to lose my belly and get helthy.

I just got the fitbit zip as one motivation for my fitness but I also need help with my food now too, I have started taking spagbowl and mack and cheese for example to work, but now I would like some quick and healthy meals that I could take in my lunchbox.

One think I must add is I am not allowed anything too high in asidity as I have a medical condition that provents this.

Any help will be appricheatted

Thanks

Michael John Burgess

If you make it in bulk twice week you could have them for lunch microwaved/ or if you purposely make a big dinner then put some away for lunch the next day you could have chilli concarne with salsa vegetables (Little to no spice with condition maybe), shepard's pie or soups with meat and veg in it. You could cook a big chicken and lean ham and make a homemade caesar salad for a week.

It's awesome to hear that you are taking care of your self @michaeljburgess. I was able to find a thread with great ideas on how to create healthy snacks. I believe this will help you out while you are at work. Click here to go to the thread. Also, remember that you can continue joining other threads to get even more ideas! Robot wink

I second what @SophieGymBeast said about packing up leftovers from dinner for lunches.  When I cook a normal dinner, I usually have enough leftover to divvy up into about 2 containers. Then I can either take those to work to eat or if I get home late and don't feel like cooking, then it could be dinner for another night. I have the containers with the divider 1/3 of the way through so that I can keep wetter/drier foods separate. Good luck on your weightloss journey!

I usually divvy up all of my meals after I cook so that I can easily track calories later. That also makes those meals easy to take to work. In the past I've also used things like Lean Cuisines or other frozen meals for lunches. Recently I started making salads at home that travel well to work with deli ham and cheese and dressing that I like. I think the trick is just to track how many calories are in each one and manage your portions.
