Recipes on Premium

Hi guys

apologies if this has been asked before. I am new to all this! Just received my new Fitbit today and it has come with 6 months free premium. Looking at the nutrition section I can see videos for suggested food ideas! I can’t for the life of me find the recipes that goes with them?
Could someone point me in the right direction please!

many thanks

Jess

Hi, @jesscush! It's definitely not just you. I checked out a few and don't see a recipe either. To me the videos seem more like "suggestions" that you can put together. The ratios would be up to you, which kind of assumes you're comfortable cooking that way.

Thank you @MakMak

I guess that makes sense in a way! I would much rather have the recipes hah!

I don't have Premium, so I'm not sure what videos you are seeing, but this site https://blog.fitbit.com/category/eat-well/recipes/ seems to have recipes. I don't know if they are the same ones.

Nice to see you here @jesscushYou can also consider adding it as a Feature Suggestion. @MakMak and @betpchem have great suggestions. In the meantime you can check also the link I added in this post.

Hope to keep see you around.

I agree. A video with no "quantities" or cook time not much good .  Can anyone get the "workout type" to actually work?  Spent an hour in chat with zero results.

Best Answer

@CindyRM Well, I'd have to agree with you. It's hard try to cook without that information. About the "workout type" that you mentioned. Can you please add more details about it? Thank  you. 🙂

I have found that you can go to the Eating Well website (https://www.eatingwell.com/)   and find the recipe that are in the Videos.   But I agree that you would think they could at least add a link to the recipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Answer

Thanks for the link. My opinion though, they are all gross sounding. I doubt that any resemble the recipes they show in the video. For example one pan healthy meals with broccoli and chicken. Verses a workout smoothie with what I think is dirt. I’d rather plant seeds than eat them.

Hello

soo excited I’ve found a way to view the full recipe a bit annoying but if you copy and paste from

the Fitbit app to

eating-well.com it has the same title and pictures add measurements ,

https://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/250549/roast-chicken-sweet-potatoes/

let me know if you find this helpful xx

It's very odd that the app/product has a "calories in and calories out" focus (which I love) but the "premium" section for recipes is just videos without actual ratios or calories.

Thank you so much for posting that link!!!!  This has been bugging me for MONTHS.  I see these recipes and articles on my phone app but then they disappear and I can never find them again.  I think the link you posted is exactly what I've been looking for.  Thank you!😍

It’s been driving me crazy I thought I was going mad.

Surely to go to the trouble of the video’s there could put up a list of ingredients and how many it servers so that you can scale it your likening.

Same. I made the Parmesan chicken with broccoli and rice and 3/4 of my family members loved it.  So yea I just guessed! 🤣

Thank you for the link - I was wondering where the recipes were.  Unfortunately, they are very US-centric in terms of their measurements.  It would be useful if they could include grams as well as cups for the rest of the world.  I will contact them directly and suggest it.  Fitbit customers who pay Premium for this additional feature are all over the world after all.

Best Answer

Nope. There are no recipes. Makes the videos pointless, in my opinion. But I confirmed with FitBit support that this is true.

I also have FitBit premium. Great all-around fitness and diet app, but there are so many opportunities for improvement.

What am I supposed to do with a recipe video with out the written recipe? I need portions. I need to be able to modify the number of people eating the meal. I can't log the recipe into my daily food log. All of these features are easy to create. Did Eating Well make a deal with FitBit, so that FitBit users are forced to visit Eating Well's website to retrieve the data they need to actually make the recipe?

Too many clicks required for me to actually do that. Very frustrating. I am willing to pay a higher subscription rate if FitBit adds these features to make the recipes interactive and dynamic. So obvious.
