Curious as to what everyone thinks of RxBAR, the whole food protein bar. From what I've read, it seems like one of the most nutritious options when it comes to protein bars.
I had one for the first time today, it was very tasty. I wanted to keep eating more of them, haha.

OK, they all have three egg whites and 12 grams of protein, so all the protein comes from the egg whites. It’s a convenient (though expensive) way to eat 3 egg whites when on the go. All the other ingredients (nuts, almonds, dates etc.) you could easily carry with you. The bars are quite high on sugar (must be the dates): 14 grams per serving of 52 grams and they have less fiber than "conventional" protein bars like Quest. So their main selling points are not including dairy (for people that are bothered by dairy), only including natural ingredients and (probably) tasting great. If your concern is to get a lot of protein while minimising calories, conventional protein bars are more adequate. And if you’re mostly at home like me, you can eat all these fine ingredients separately for a lot cheaper.

I am sure they are really good, but I can' imagine spending 200 calories on a snack. That for me is breakfast, and I would never be satisfied with a bar as a meal. I rather whip up those three egg whites into a quick omelet, put it on an 80 calorie wrap with a side of fruit. same calories- way more satisfying. And good sugar/carb. Can be made the night before to grab and run.
