I've making some awesome smoothies with my immersion blender. Yesterday's was honey, nectarine, clementine, and blueberry.

Today I did a handful of baby kale mix, 1/2 apple, 1/2 kiwi, splash of Trimino (protein infused coconut water with pineapple), splash of simply limeade, ice and my Visalus protein powder. I always just throw a bunch of stuff in that I have around!

Sounds awesome! The protein doesn't make it grainy, does it?

Visalus isn't grainy and I have a blender that is a GE version of the Magic Bullet and it works really well.

Oh, cool. I've never used any protein powders before. How do you like them?

Great question @iamlionheart, I haven't either and is good to know someone's opinion before trying.

Thanks! I just hear about it a lot and haven't tried it.

I had never really used protein powders much either before I tried ViSalus. It is good for a person just starting out because it is one of the better tasting powders. I used to sell it (and still can but don't really promote much anymore, just use the products), so if you want to check it out you can go to www.fitnesschallenge90.bodybyvi.com You can buy it there or I think some people buy it on Amazon. Most other powders I've tasted have a weird plant or metallic taste. I've broaded my options for other supplements but this is one I've stuck with ViSalus for.

Cool. How long have you been using it? Do you see/feel anything from using it so far?

I started it in 2011. I lost 15 pounds my first 30 days supplementing breakfast and dinner. My husband lost 15 pounds his first 15 days drinking it for breakfast (he used to not eat breakfast). Now I use it to add protein to my diet so I'll drink it as a mid morning snack or post-work out in the afternoons. It also has other vitamins and minerals to supplment my diet with. I can definately tell a difference in energy and overall feeling of health when I drink them daily, as well as support in muscle growth when I combine with a normal workout regime.

Hey everyone!
@kaceylou84 I think I'll start adding some protein to my diet with protein shakes. The benefits sound like it's worth it! But just like @Mcore said, I'd always like an opinion before trying.
I also like smoothies and @iamlionheart's recipe sounds amazing! I like strawberries, kiwi and apple juice. If you have some other recipes you can share, I'd appreciate it tons.
Mango is the best @VivisFitbit!

Here is my current smoothie (I saw it online & bought the ingridients for the week so it is this weeks breakfast)
It is a Pina Colada Protein Shake:

My current fave is my pumpkin pie.
I use unsweetened cashew or almond milk. Roughly 1.5 cups
1/3-1/2 of a can plain organic pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling! ingreients should only be "pumpkin") Can find canned year round
1 handful Kale
1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie spice
1/2 banana (frozen makes texture better)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 scoops protein ( I use vanilla Visalis)

I also Love my Pina Colada
I use 1.5 cups unsweetened cashew or almond milk
1 handul kale
1 tablespoon coconut oil (The coconut oil adds an extra 120 cals so I make sure to add this in the daily allowance)
1 cup frozen pineapple or more
2 scoops vanilla protein (I only use Visalis for the taste, I am picky with protein tastes)
Then any add ons welcome,..chia seeds, flaxseed, etc

@ArmyDudeinAZ & @AFChi! Those are great recipes for smoothies. I'm happy cause I'm getting new ideas to try every morning. I feel that starting the day with smoothies is a very fun and nutritious way to add something extra to your breakfast. Plus they give you energy and keep you going through the rest of the day. Happy stepping everyone and happy smoothies, lol!

@VivisFitbit Sharing is caring! That smoothie recipe sounds incredibly delicious and refreshing. Also, I was thinking that pre-workout smoothies can totally boost your energy throughout the day by adding natural protein, aside from protein powder. Some of the ingredients providing a source of protein are:
So if you're aiming to a high protein diet and love smoothies, I suggest you guys trying new recipes including these ingredients and then post back with the outcome of it!
