I usually go home and eat dinner after I work out, but when I go to the gym in the morning I eat a cereal or protein bar. not sure which country you live in so not sure what is available to you, but in the UK they have these: https://www.bouncefoods.com/uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=17&Itemid=78 which are high in protein and around 200 cals per piece. If you're in the USA, when I went there they sold good protein bars in whole foods. 🙂

I like cottage cheese as a protein alternative. Hummus is amazing too, and I eat both with carrots for crunchiness.
