210.26 does not recognize swimming

My I3 was working perfectly until the 210.26 update. now it wont recognize my activities. The tracker has basically turned into a pedometer. I'm really disappointed and would never have updated as I was very satisfied with the performance of my I3 previously. when I swim, it puts my exercise as elliptical or rowing. again I'm really disappointed

Hi, @Ilove2Swim, welcome, as you've just updated your Inspire 3 you should review the settings on your device and the Fitbit app on your phone. Occasionally updates disturb our settings. On your Inspire 3 swipe down to "worn on wrist/clip" Make sure it's set to "wrist", swipe down & touch settings>swipe up to Heart rate & ensure the slider is "on". I assume you are relying on the auto-recognise feature to track your activities. From the "Today" screen on your Fitbit app touch your icon in the top right corner>Fitbit settings>exercise>then the exercise you want to check (let's say swimming)>ensure the auto recognise slider is in the on position & the swims longer than time is set as you desire (I use 10 minutes) then SAVE. repeat for the other exercises. Return to the Today screen & sync.

Remember, you can re-order the shortcuts on your Inspire 3 if you want to start an exercise manually. From the "Today" screen in the Fitbit app touch the icon in the top left corner>inspire 3>exercise shortcuts>drag the hamburger handles up or down to change the order of the shortcuts, you can also remove a shortcut you do not need by swiping left touching"+" & inserting your favoured exercise.

FYG I swim regularly using "Auto-recognize" quite successfully.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
