Add a device screen is stuck loading

I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S23, and I can't add my Inspire 3 (or any devices) to the app. I updated the Fitbit app, restarted my phone, tried pairing. But all I get when I try to add a device through the app is this screen:

 It doesn't load anything and I can't sync my watch.

Update: I have been fiddling with it all afternoon. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled and it seems to have resolved the issue. Odd considering it's a fresh install but hopefully that helps someone else.
