My Charge 5 died and I got a 35% discount. This would make an Inspire 3 around $80, which I’m ok with spending.
Other than the built-in GPS, I don’t really see a difference between the two. I don’t care about payment or notifications, or any smartwatch features. I just want to track sleep, activity (steps and calories burned), resting heart rate, and HRV.
The Charge 5 has had so many problems, even aside from the infamous, device-killing update. Mine hadn’t updated and just suddenly started acting up 13 months after buying it.
I haven’t seen many issues regarding the Inspire 3. What have been your experiences with it, good or bad?

@charley672 my Inspire 3 has never given me a moment's trouble and it does have the features you said you're interested in. It's a good device if you want activity tracking and basic health metrics, but don't want to think about your Fitbit most of the time.
It has a nice color display, just like the Charge 5. There are 3 brightness settings, so it's easy to read under different lighting conditions. Mine goes 10 days between charging. That works for me, since I'm not good at remembering to charge things.
Disadvantages... the screen is small and I have seen complaints that the text can be too tiny to read easily. Also, there aren't a lot of replacement straps available. Fitbit doesn't offer many and neither do third party sellers on places like Amazon.
