App and Inspire 3 steps not the same

I got up this morning and the app shows 3227 steps.  It  still shows the same an hour later.  On my inspire 3, I have less than 1000 steps.  I have unpaired and paired, restarted both my phone and inspire 3, cleaned the cache on the app.

Thanks for letting me know about this situation with the steps shown in your app and in your Inspire 3. I appreciate the steps you followed to get this improved.

Please confirm if you are using Mobile track. It is a service that allows you to count steps using your phone even if you forget to wear your Fitbit. You can "unpair" Mobile Track from your account.  On your Fitbit app go to the upper left corner, on the phone and device icon. Click on your phone icon and on the 3 dots and choose "unpair". This can impact the steps counted.
