Auto-exercise on Inspire 3

I am a wheelchair user. Every single day, my Fitbit picks up wheelchair use as Elliptical use. I have turned off autodetect for exercises in the app, in the online dashboard, everywhere I can find, and then I have restarted the Fitbit. I have turned autodetect back on, restarted the Fitbit, turned it back off, and restarted the Fitbit again. Autodetect is off EVERYWHERE and yet it's still picking up Elliptical use when I'm using my wheelchair. I'm almost to the point that I want to stop using the Fitbit entirely, I'm so frustrated. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello @Thinwaifer and welcome to the Community.  The Inspire 3 got an additional way to track to track certain exercises with a firmware update.  It turns on the Exercise app for six exercises, including elliptical.  This is different from the exercises you set to ignore.  Here’s how to turn it off:

  • Swipe left/right on the Inspire 3 screen to the Exercise app and tap to open it
  • Choose the Elliptical shortcut
  • Swipe up on the tiny “^” at the bottom of the screen
  • Look for the Auto start option and toggle it off

This feature is in the following shortcuts: walk, run, hike, elliptical, spinning, and rowing.  I think your wheelchair arm movements can be confused with rowing, too.  Please turn off that one, too.
