BUG: Display goes black when disconnected during face changing

I tried looking for this, but I didn't find it.  So I apologize if I missed it.

I Just got a new Inspire 3.  I had to return it because there's a bug related to the display when you get disconnected from your phone's bluetooth during the install process.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Select a new face to change to

2. Disconnect Bluetooth during install

3. Screen goes black and never comes back, even after resetting using the 10 to 15 second hold.

Seems ridiculous that it would not revert to the old face when something like this happens.  Once the face goes black, it also becomes impossible to pair or do anything since the Inspire 3 is heavily reliant on the watch UI.

While trying to setup your Inspire 3, why would you remove the Inspire 3 from your phones Bluetooth? It might be going black because the communication was broken.

Hi Rich, thanks for the reply.

There doesn't have to be an actual reason.  What if you're phone dies?  Or what if you walk out of BT range.  Or what if something just happens?  The idea is that you lose connection during this process, not why you lose connection, and that causes a bug.

I agree, it's most definitely going black b/c the communication.  But the problem is that it forever remains black and it becomes useless b/c you can no longer pair it, or see anything on the interface.  I would assume that the old face or interface should still remain cached until the new face is installed, however that doesn't seem to be the case.  And you can't even re-initiate the connection process b/c the interface is down.

Holding down the sides for 10 seconds also does not bring it back.  It resets the device, the logo pops up, but the interface remains black.  I couldn't find an actual hard reset for the device either to return it to factory settings.  Normally on other devices there's a tiny hole with a button to reset it, but that doesn't seem to the case with the Inspire 3.

In any case, this bug is for the developers to look into and for people to be aware of should anything ever happen during any of the processes that involve updating the face.  As well as to let them know I tried all the recommendations, but there was no actual fix except to return it and get a new one.
