I've been using a newly bought Inspire 3 for a few days and am experiencing continual Bluetooth connectivity issues.
When I go out of range of Bluetooth, obviously the Inspire 3 is disconnected from it. However, when the device is back in range, Bluetooth will not reconnect automatically. Instead, the connection needs to be remade manually, and the most effective way I've found to do this is to open up the Fitbit app on my iPhone (it is compatible, I've checked), tap on the top-left icon and then tap on the panel showing the image of the Inspire 3. This causes the devices to sync.
However, the sync lasts sometimes just a few seconds. From what I can determine, the Bluetooth paring lasts only as long as I have the Fitbit app open on my iPhone, which is not long as I always close down apps after using them. This is happening multiple times a day (my iPhone is not a constant companion).
So, is it now a requirement that the Fitbit app must remain open on my iPhone? That certainly is n't how connectivity functioned on the previous Charge 3 and 4 I've owned.
Remedial actions taken include: using 'forget this device', switching off Bluetooth, shutting down the iPhone, restarting the Inspire 3 (all done multiple times).
Any assistance in helping me ensure ongoing Bluetooth connectivity appreciated.
