Can't see HR during exercise

Since the latest update I can no longer check my HR during exercise because an activity monitor has auto started up. To see my HR I have to pause the activity, then cancel it, all while I'm running. I can't find a way, either on my phone or on the device, to stop this activity monitor from appearing. Since I bought the Fitbit expressly to monitor my HR for medical reasons, this is super annoying. Is there a solution?

Ah, I eventually found the solution in another post. Swipe left on the device to Exercise, tap, scroll down to Auto start and switch it off.
