Data synced don't match

Data is not being stored correctly.  on the main page steps and miles are correctly,  but if you click on either to just see that Stat for the day, a different, lower number is shown and this is what is being saved as the overall stats for the day, which is incorrect.

I just observed the same thing but, if I sync my device right before clicking on steps or miles, the numbers are identical.
