Hello I don't really care about the auto walk mode (after 5min of walk, the watch will prompt and ask you if you dant to register this walk as a "walk exercise")
I ignore it, I only use the watch to track my sleep.
But while resting and I wanted to see the time I got blocked by "Would you like to end this session?" Did the **ahem** watch accepted the walk session by itself and now force me to press the "yes" button to see the time ? I tried pressing the two buttons on the side but the pop-up wouldn't disappear, talk about being annoying.
But anyway, do you know a way to disable this feature?

Yeah so swipe left on your Fitbit until you get to the exercise screen. Scroll down until you find walk, click once and scroll down until you find the auto start toggle.
there is also a setting in the app but annoyingly you need to set it up on the watch also (it appears to be on by default for all exercise types)

So tell me again how can I configure my Fitbit to just display the time and my steps, as I have my home screen configured, when the exercise app decides to take over my Fitbit and force me to do multiple swipes and button presses when all I want to do is see what time it is. How do I eliminate the stupid automatic exercise app???
