I am new to Fitbit, I have quite enjoyed the watch. It has done everything that I need. However, last week, an update alerted me, and since updating, when I activate the watch for runs, it no longer shows my distance at the top of the activity screen, and it shows the time instead. I am not the most techy person out there. Unfortunately, I have been unable to figure out how to change it back to the way it was.
Is there a way to either revert back to the previous settings or adjust so that my distance is displayed instead of the time? I would rather not buy a new watch because of an update, but I need to have my distances displayed for pace corrections while running.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I don't have an issue in that regard. If I do a workout, the distance in the recap, etc, is all accurate within reason. My watch prior to this update when I ran the activity screen would read from top to bottom as follows: Distance, Pace, total elapsed time. Since the update, the distance has been replaced with a real-time clock. I'm new to running, and I am currently training for a half marathon. The issue is I adjust my pace based on my distance to finish, and it's impossible to do this now with the update. Obviously, I can go out and buy a Garmin forerunner and solve all of this instantly, but if there's a workaround, it would be nice to just continue with the Fitbit as up until this point it has done everything I need.

I have this exact issue and took a picture of it during a run this morning. You can see that the GPS is active with the arrow but typically instead of showing the time of 5:49 it should show the distance ran which at this point would be around 3.1miles

I found out that on the activity screen, prior to hitting "start exercise," if you scroll down, you can "set a goal." From there, you can select a distance. This will add a distance countdown to the activity screen. It's not exactly what I would like, but it is better than nothing, so this will work for now for me.

I guess that will have to do for the time being. Thanks for finding that!

This works for me, and, when you set a distance goal, the real-time distance will also appear at the top of the screen, just below the distance countdown.

Hi guys, so I found out that you can tap on the screen after you start the activity and that will show different metrics, like distance, pace, etc. You just keep taping to go through those. Instead of the distance being right at the top, it’s now like 4 taps away.
